"We have used YCA on People Development focusing on 4 areas of the business including the business improvement system and a number of indirect engineering processes. We found that the use of high level transition planning linked to the local Hoshin Kanri plans and the various improvement tools (Kaizen events & Improvement teams) worked really well to take high level objectives and link through into actual activities. This mechanism has also enabled the engagement of people into the indirect areas of the business rather that the normal shop floor oriented approach to improvement.
